ABOUT THE MASK PRIZE

The MASK Prize is the pan-African annual creativity competition with prizes for schools and young people under the age of 25 .

The MASK Prize challenges young Africans to reflect on creative and innovative ways of thinking and doing. Themed 'Young People - the Creative Nation', the MASK Prize creates a platform for young people to practice, celebrate and share their creativity.

Participants submit their artworks online on any subject, as long as it is creative and innovative, in any media in 5 categories. Winners are selected by the panel of Judges from the leading art institutions in Kenya, UK, and USA.

Up to 30 prizes totalling 300,000 Ksh (approx $3,500) are awarded at the official Prize-Giving ceremony in Nairobi. Selected works are exhibited in Kenya, the UK and the USA.

Since 2013, 4500 young people from East and South Africa, and more than 200 schools in Kenya have participated in the MASK Prize. Its international exhibitions have reached up to 450,000 people .

The MASK Prize is a non-for-profit programme pioneered by a UK education charity MASK SCAI (MASK School for Creativity and Innovation) that trains young people in creativity and innovation for employment, enterpreneurship and leadership.

VIDEO OF MUSIC, DANCE OR PERFORMANCE

For music/dance/performance - upload your videos on Youtube first, and than enter the Youtube URL link when submiting your work. Videos can be of any duration

ARTISTS UNDER 25 Y/O

ENTREPRENEURIAL IDEAS

Entrepreneurial ideas should be EITHER written up (maximum 100 words) OR painted, drawn, collaged, filmed, etc.
