iNTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

 

The selected intern will be part of our dynamic and innovative charity organization. He/she will have an opportunity to help the charity expand and formulate new ideas in order to support more young people in their self-expression.

 

Details:

The UK based Intern will work at our London base under the overall authority of the Director of MASK, Ms All Tkachuk. This is an unpaid internship, although travel costs within London will be covered. MASK is unable to assist with accommodation costs.

 

Responsibilities:

The Intern will support the work of MASK in the following areas:

  • Support communication and fundraising activities of the charity. This will involve: Updating the MASK and JustGiving web pages on a regular basis

·         Assist in the design and organize MASK communication materials, leaflets, brochures, posters

·         Draft MASK’s regular e-Newsletter

·         Draft fundraising proposals and applications to donors

·         Support in fundraising events, such as exhibitions

  • Support ongoing activities of MASK in Kenya

·         Liaison with Kenyan young people and artists

·         Update website with information from young people in Kenya

  • Support MASK's volunteer programme

·         Organise CRB checks for volunteers selected to travel to Kenya to work with children

·         Support travel arrangement for volunteers such as flight organization, travel insurance etc.

·         Compile and package information packs for volunteers

  • Other duties contributing to the fulfillment of the work plan of MASK at the request of the Director

 

Requirements:

  • Must be UK-based

  • A university degree in a relevant field (Education, the Arts, International Development, Charity Organisation)

  • Perfect knowledge of English

  • Some knowledge of issues related to the arts

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent inter-personal and organizational skills

  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
