Safe House is a shelter for seriously abused and abandoned children where children receive counselling and treatment in a child-friendly environment. It gives home to children from as young as a few months old to about 15 years old.  If children cannot be re-housed with their families they are sent on to other children homes.

We gave workshops in the school's courtyard to two groups of children: John Kamal, our 20 years old volunteer from London worked with 3 to 5 years olds, and I,  Alla worked with older children.  The small kids were very happy.  We kept hearing loud cheering and applauds from their corner of the yard!  They did hand painting, and older children painted what they like most: usually food... We hanged the paintings on the wall and it all looked bright and hopeful.
