When one boy who lived on a street was asked when the last time he slept in a bed, he said "Nine years ago"...
Naivasha Children Center provides home, schooling, counselling and vocational training for street boys. MASK visited them in March. We were impressed how well and positive their life is structured. The children are so skilful in craft: they have craft workshop and produce incredible things out of wire and beads! There is a huge tree with big ripe fruits painted on a wall of the canteen. "This is we and our children", explained to me the Shelter's founder, Debbie Case.
