Githirwa is a great school.  it is a boarding school for about 100 pupils.  Its situated in a bush on a hill just outside of Kongoli village, south of Lake Naivasha.  The views from the school on a lake Naivasha were incredible.  So much space!  The reverent left to the school it's personal quarters - a five corners large room - where we held most of our art workshops.  Later we moved to the village's church, which is on school's territory.  The walls of the church were bare and we painted large paintings on Easter.  We later marched along the village showing the painings to the vilagers to the great joy of village toddlers. The school's headmaster is a young bright man, commited to children and keen on a dance.  The girls strated to sing. I asked children if they had some drums.  No drums, - they said, - but we have buckets!  They brought two large plastic buckets and started to drum!  Headmaster showed us some moves!  We all danced.

The school desperately needs funds towards some pupils' fees.  Please help if you can.

We have set an art club there which supervised by History teacher Simon and our volunteer John Githiri.
