This year the Smithsonian Folklife Festival was dedicated to Kenya. MASK's Founding Director, Alla Tkachuk, together with the Curator of the Smithsonian Festival, Preston Scott, presented a discussion on creativity and innovation and its practical applications.
Creativity is peoples' ability to connect unrelated systems and create new, innovative, effective ones. At the sesion, a group of Mongolian traditional musicians, and the Kenyan leading benga singer, Winyo, combined thier different music and created a new phenomena!
