More than 70 prizes totalling 300,000SH were awarded to the winners of the 2017 MASK PRIZE at its Award Ceremony at Michael Joseph Center in Nairobi on 27 April. The prizes were awarded by Jeff Koinange, the leading Kenyan broadcaster, Majani Alex Tom, the Senior Assistant Director of Quality Assurance of the Kenyan Ministry of Education, and David Kimathi, Marketing Director of Mabati Rolling Mills.

The 2017 MASK Prize exhibits at one of the UK leading public art galleries Turner Contemporary as part of the Gallery's major show 'Every Day is a New Day' along with Phyllida Barlow, Michael Armitage, and the Turner Contemporary's own art competition Portfolio, https://www.turnercontemporary.org/exhibitions/phyllida-barlow-artist-rooms. The MASK Prize shows paintings and collages, digital art, photography, music, and the Entrepreneurial Ideas. The show was officially opened by the celebrated poet Lemn Sissay MBE.
